Review
In terms of a thriller movie, I think that Missing have all the components. I think that the film being told through screen can be difficult at times. But, it also adds to the suspense. There are films that are told through screen that doesn't take away from the concept. I remember watching a Modern Family episode that was told through screen and it was just as funny as the other ones. Storm Reid showcases a very different side of her acting films in this film. I actually think that Reid has a strong potential to be a 'scream queen'. Movies like these could be her genre. This film could be a little better with pacing. Since the screen is being utilized more things need to be slower. There was parts when the typing was too fast or the screen switched too quickly. It was just hard to keep up with at some points. Maybe the film was technology reliant, but in 2023 that is basically the world. iPhone, iPad, social media, etc. is evolving. This film just highlights that. Overall, everything about this film was good and the plot twist was very unexpected. It would not be a thriller film without a plot twist.
Rating
I rate this film 3 out of 5 stars.
